Access Engineering PLC yesterday commissioned a $6.9 million cyclotron-based radiopharmaceutical production facility, marking its formal entry into advanced nuclear medicine infrastructure.
The project is undertaken through Access Medical Tracers Ltd., in which Access Engineering holds a 60% stake, under a Build, Operate and Own model.
The facility will produce short-lived radioactive isotopes used in PET scans, particularly for cancer diagnosis and disease monitoring. Local production is expected to significantly improve supply reliability, reduce costs, and enhance patient access to advanced imaging services.
For the nine months ended December 2025, the Group reported 38% revenue growth to Rs. 36 billion and a 15% increase in after-tax profits to Rs. 4 billion. Shares closed Friday at Rs. 72.50, up Rs. 2.40, with net assets of Rs. 37.61 per share.
